Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Travel Seoul :) app ("the app") collects, why, and how you can control it. The app is operated by AEONIAN.

2. Information we collect
You can browse all guides, events and forum posts without an account. We only collect personal information when you sign in or contribute.

We do not collect your precise location. The "Get directions" button opens Google Maps or Naver Map, which apply their own privacy policies.
3. How long we keep it
- Account information is kept until you delete your account.
- When you delete your account, we delete your email, nickname, favorites and likes within 30 days.
- Your forum posts and comments stay visible so conversations still make sense, but your nickname is replaced with "Deleted user" and they are no longer linked to you.
- We may keep records longer only where Korean law requires it.
4. Who processes your data
We use Google Firebase (Google LLC) for sign-in, the database, file storage, hosting and, if you allow it, usage statistics. Your data may be stored on Google servers located outside Korea. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
5. Your rights
You can view and edit your nickname in the app, ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete your account at any time. Contact us at the privacy email above. We reply within 10 days.
6. Age
The app is intended for users aged 14 and over. The Travel Buddy board is for adults aged 18 and over.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
